Our Community Friendship Volunteer Program supports the health and well-being of seniors in our community by promoting social connection. The program, launched in partnership with Mercy Care for the Adirondacks, pairs volunteers with older adults in need of non-clinical assistance and complements the age-friendly care we provide at the hospital.
Volunteers provide at-home visits and support with day-to-day activities like gardening, shopping and errands. In as few as one to four hours a month, volunteers can have a big impact on the health and wellbeing of seniors in our community.
